From mountain farm to hotel

Your hosts

Monica is a graduate Cand.mag – Norwegian teacher and also has solid work experience from the tourism industry after more than 10 years in Widerøe Flyselskap at Torp Airport in Sandefjord. Monica is responsible for reception, booking and staff and she is the general manager of the hotel. Every Saturday evening after dinner, Monica offers a guided moonlight tour up the cross-country trails. Participants on these tours are equipped with a headlamp, but this is switched off when it’s moonlight!

Rune is responsible for all the food, and he is the manager in the kitchen. He has his background from the insurance and real estate industry and has previously also established and built his own business within digital management systems for HSE and KS. Rune is therefore responsible for the hotel's internal control. Rune also regularly hosts music quizzes in the old fireplace lounge after dinner, and ghost safaris for children around the hotel’s oldest and scariest (!) rooms, hallways and corridors!
